BEAUTY BUZZ: FACIAL CARE NOW OPEN IN EASTWOOD

 

I am always pleasantly surprised when I find out new establishments open just walking distance from where I live. The fact that I won't need to take my car out to drive, spend on gas, find parking and pay for parking is a HUGE deal for me since time and energy spent are precious to me. When I was told that Facial Care Centre in the Philippines was going to open in Eastwood I was ecstatic. I have never tried out the services of Facial Care but since they have been in this industry so long without a hitch and based on praises from friends, I was less skeptical to try it out. I have always been very open to trying out any new service or brand. Thats the point of reviewing something or trying something out for the first time. I admit I do seek the reviews of what others who have tried it before say at times but generally speaking I like to try things out for myself and have my own opinion about it. Something good for one may be bad for others and vice versa. Since I heard nothing but praises about the services of Facial Care I was not hesitant to accept the invitation they gave me to try out one of their signature facial services. If there is one body part I have that I am most particular about it is my skin and my face. With my nails and hair I can be forgiving at times if something is not to my liking but with my face and skin there is no room for errors. 

One thing I judge immediately about any service oriented place I visit for the first time is the cleanliness of the place and most importantly the smell. A place may look and appear clean but the smell of a place can easily determine if a place is genuinely clean. I know the Eastwood branch just opened but immediately you could sense that they take pride in keeping their place sanitized and that clean feeling you always want to experience.

I was welcomed by a fresh frozen fruit drink from Fruit Magic as part of the soft launch that day. As much as I wanted to gulp the whole thing down because of the scorching heat outside I had to decline due to a sore throat.

I was then lead to meet one of the head dermatologists to help asses the condition of the skin on my face. Aside from a few hormonal breakouts, she said I had perfect skin (naks!) and recommended I just try their energizing facial to just help boost the clarity and tone of my skin.

I was then lead to another room where I was greeted with a complimentary package of slippers and a honeycomb robe which I only realized after taking this photo that it had my name embroidered on it. Its not much of big deal if you think about it but that added extra touch does make a big difference. Like with everything else in this world, it really is the small details that make the difference better good and great.

After changing into my robe I was ready to begin my facial. I TRY as much as I can to relax while getting a massage, my hair or nails done or while getting a facial to just sit still enjoy the quiet moment and relax. But I seem to always find myself at my busiest replying to text messages and emails. I try to answer them all quickly and put my phone aside but realize I have to get it done at that moment because I might not get the chance later on. Before I knew it I was half way thru my facial and I didn't even realize what was being done to my face.



I remember it smelling really good as if I were at a spa, part of the VitaSpa experience is making you feel like you are at a spa but a spa for your face. There were a lot of steps before the actual steaming part, then a mild extraction or removal of built up oil and dirt in my pores which took less than a few minutes. After, a facial mask was applied then once it dried, was washed off then my facialist began the re-energizing laser toning session. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical knowing that lasers would be used on my face and the anticipation of any pain especially directed towards my face frightened me a bit but I was assured that there would be zero pain throughout the session. The laser would simply re-energize the muscles of my face to bring back its youthful glow that stress so easily takes away.

After the whole treatment, my face felt so refreshed. Not only did my the skin on my face feel good and squeaky clean I felt an over-all de-stressed aura. Definitely a treatment I would like to acquire regularly to relive that fresh energized feeling that lasted till the next day. My face felt so good and so cleaned I went completely makeup free for 2 whole days. It was two hours well spent and definitely an investment I wouldn't mind spending time and money on for the same results every time.
